McDonald's McBites Contest Encourages People to Create Mini Film

McDonald’s McBites, the fast food giant’s version of popcorn chicken, will soon be launched in the United States, and to promote the new snack, McDonald’s is looking for 10 awesome mini movie ideas from fans.

McDonald’s has launched the contest with the help of Tongal, a video crowdsourcing company, and is asking participants to create a 30-second film that promotes the McDonald’s McBites, the packaging of which is designed to fit into a car’s cupholder. Thus, the company wants video ideas that highlight the snack’s “on-the-go” nature, says Rick Wion, McDonald’s director of social media.
